IYRC Digital Adda

Why - Digital Adda ?

During a baseline survey by our second-generation leadership, we identified significant digital literacy gaps among the youth in migrant worker communities. The primary issues include:

– Lack of Resources: Limited access to digital tools and facilities.

– Single Device Dependency: Many households have only one phone, limiting internet access.

-Gender Gap: Many young women, even those over 24, lack digital literacy skills.

This digital divide results in several problems:

– Cyber Security Risks: Exposure to online fraud and hacking.

– Limited Online Platform Usage: Difficulty in accessing educational and employment resources.

-Challenges with Online Payments: Inability to perform secure transactions.

Recognizing these needs, IYRC launched the Digital Adda program. This initiative aims to empower the youth by providing them with essential digital skills, promoting safe internet practices, and bridging the digital divide.

Through Digital Adda, we are committed to addressing these community needs and enabling the youth to navigate the digital world safely and effectively.

What We Do

Digital Adda integrates technology into learning, using tools from smartphones and tablets to advanced AI for adaptive learning. IYRC addresses the digital resource gap in the community, where youth aspirations hinge on digital literacy. This inspired us to establish a classroom setup that offers digital education to all aspirants.

Digital Adda simplifies the lives of migrant workers by teaching essential digital skills, such as online money transfers, ticket booking, and accessing services that require online registration. Additionally, we provide conventional computer learning programs and certifications.

Bridging the Gender Gap

A significant focus of Digital Adda is to bridge the gender gap in digital literacy. Many young women lack digital skills due to societal and economic barriers. By providing targeted education and resources, we empower women to engage with technology confidently, ensuring equal opportunities for all.

By bridging the digital divide and addressing gender disparities, Digital Adda empowers individuals and fosters a more inclusive, technologically adept society.
